The brief
Mouchel is one complex organisation, designing, engineering and managing a staggering number of the things that support modern society. The trouble is, they had next to no presence as a graduate employer. So before they could even start to explain to students what they do, the first thing they had to do was get their name out there on campus.
The solution
Rather than lead on what Mouchel does, our campaign centres on the people who do it: bright, enthusiastic, energetic individuals keen to make a contribution. Whoever they are and whatever they do in this vast organisation, Mouchel people are definitively not moochers. The light-hearted humour of the campaign has helped to boost Mouchel’s campus profile over the last couple of years.
The brief
Recruiting into more than 50 different roles across Mouchel’s Water and Energy businesses was no simple task. The firm was competing for talent against better-known competitors who have considerably more to spend on recruitment – at a time when Mouchel was looking to reduce its cost per hire.
The solution
Our bold, bright ‘Free Range Thinking’ campaign was an unconventional option that needed a leap of faith from the client. That faith was rewarded when the campaign generated more applicants in its first week than the previous activity had managed in four months. Praise for the campaign has ranged from the Telegraph calling it “a refreshing change” to Resourcing Magazine naming it Campaign of the Month.
