The Macademy
Fearless thinking and fresh new ideas are what we’re all about. The Macademy enables a small number of aspiring art directors to experience this for themselves every year. It’s your chance to test out your conceptual prowess on live briefs as well as brushing up on your design skills by taking ideas through to execution.
At the end of your time with us, you’ll walk away with agency experience, some extremely useful contacts and maybe even some live portfolio work. If you’d like to join the Macademy, send 300 words telling us why you think you deserve a place, along with five pieces of sample work, to macademy@staffordlong.co.uk

Martin, our recent intern says:
“During my placement at Stafford Long I was involved in a wide variety of live projects. These ranged from presentations to advertising campaigns. I had to problem solve and produce ideas as soon as the brief was received whilst at the same time learning how to respond quickly to any given challenge and work closely with others in order to complete the projects. It was really enjoyable working for them as everyone was very helpful and made me feel welcome. Working at Stafford Long has given me a great first step in my Graphic Design career.”
Monique, another of our recent interns says:
“I spent 4 weeks as a graphic design intern at Stafford Long. I was so excited to be involved in live briefs that were going on at the time. The team were very welcoming and even gave me advice when I was looking for a place to stay in London. It was a fantastic experience for me having just left of university, not just learning new skills like talking to clients but also the fast pace of working in an established design agency and everything that was involved. I loved my time there and was sad to move on to my next placement.”
